Benishek is finding support from voters who want change in Washington, riding an anti-Democrat, anti-incumbent mood in Michigan and elsewhere. He pledges to not stay longer than three terms in Congress and preaches rolling back government.

“I don’t like all the spending,” said Vicky Sheppard, 53, from Dafter, who supports more tax breaks to businesses and who leans Republican. “It’s scary for our kids coming up.”
